In July 2021, we closed on this over 120-year-old Queen Anne cottage on Detroit’s East Side. Heartwood House will be used to demonstrate Detroit Heartwood’s unparalleled abilities to restore these old, beloved Detroit homes using modern building science, while maintaining historic charm.

Our focus is on structural integrity, maximizing efficiency and function, maintaining character and of course, quality. We want to see houses like these last 100 more years and for those who call them home to love where they live without being burdened by exorbitant utility bills, failing structures and more.
